Review process

Once the manuscript is registered, it goes to the review or arbitration process, which takes into account the following:

−        The arbitration group or reviewers will be the responsibility of the Editorial Committee.

−        The referees will comply with the arbitration regulations adopted by the journal, based on the arbitration guide.

−        Two specialized referees will be appointed, depending on the topic covered by the manuscript.

−        The review will be carried out in a double-blind manner.

−        If the arbitrators do not agree on their criteria, a third party will be appointed.

−        A form will be used where the criteria and arguments of the arbitration are reflected. This constitutes the arbitration guide.

−        The work must be evaluated and its results recorded in the space designated for this purpose within a period of 60 days. Once the results of the review are received, the referees' suggestions will be reconciled.

The Editorial Committee will make the corresponding decision. The corresponding author will be informed by email of the results of the review, which may include:

Resultado de traducción

Acceptance of shipment. In this case it goes to the editing/correction process as it was received.

Publishable with modifications. In this case the manuscript is approved but needs corrections to be made by the authors, who have a maximum of three (3) weeks (depending on the extent of the corrections) to proceed to prepare and resubmit a new version, taking into account the recommendations of the review process and record it in the same space as the previous one. Once registered, it is reviewed by the editors and the decision is made if it is ready to move on to the editing/proofreading process or if it needs a new review by experts. If after 30 days the new version of the manuscript is not received by the authors, the editors give a 72-hour ultimatum to the authors before archiving the record.

Reassessable. The corresponding author is notified by email of the editorial decision that the manuscript should be redone for a new round of expert review. Up to three (3) rounds of evaluation are commonly taken. In exceptional cases, new rounds of evaluation are allowed.

Not publishable. Authors are notified via email that the final decision of the evaluation process is not to publish the manuscript. Once the author(s) is notified, the record is archived.

The final decision on the publication or rejection of the manuscript is the exclusive responsibility of the Editorial Committee of the journal.
