Risks and chronic kidney diseases. Dangers of misusing a good classification.
Abstract
The chronic kidney disease classification table, based on glomerular filtration rate (GFR), albuminuria, and risk of adverse events, is undoubtedly a good classification. (1) It is currently used by nephrologists, family doctors, cardiologists, endocrinologists, internists and others, including patients and family members, but in many cases it is not used well. The answers to the questions reflected below are widely published and should be the domain of all those who use this classification, ignorance of which leads to iatrogenic diseases.
